One man has been charged and another was being sought in connection with a stabbing early Sunday in Williamsport, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

Sean O'Connor, 48, of 964 Trumpet Court, Davidsonville, Md., was charged with one count each of first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, and two counts of second-degree assault in connection with the stabbing of Stephen Michael Reynolds at about 2:30 a.m. in the 10700 block of Brookemeade Circle, according to Washington County District Court documents.

O'Connor was arrested at about 5 p.m. Sunday and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release said.

Deputies said another suspect in the stabbing, Kaleb Kuschel, was still being sought Monday. A warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the release.

Authorities responded to a call at 10731 Brookemeade Circle at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday and found Reynolds with a puncture mark of 3 to 4 inches on his back, according to court documents.

A witness told deputies that O'Connor and Kuschel walked across the parking lot of an apartment complex and started a fight with Reynolds. O'Connor later threatened Reynolds with a knife, the witness alleged, but it was Kuschel who was seen stabbing Stephens with an object that appeared to be a shard of glass, according to court documents.

Stephens was taken to Washington County Hospital.

When asked about Reynolds' condition Monday night, a Washington County Hospital spokesman said he was not authorized to give any information about Reynolds.

Brookemeade Circle is between Virginia Avenue and Interstate 81, according to the sheriff's department.

Anyone with information on Kuschel's whereabouts may call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 240-313-2885.
