Staples and are teaming up for the third annual National Staples/Do Something 101 School Supply Drive.

Customers may collect school supplies and drop them off at Staples at 1631 Wesel Blvd. in Hagerstown through Sept. 18. Customers also may donate $1 at Staples, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Hagerstown-area students.

All school supplies and donations will be given to the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.

During the first two school supply drives, Staples and raised more than $750,000. Staples also will donate more than $125,000 worth of school supplies to the program.

Hoffman Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge

Hoffman Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, at 171 S. Edgewood Drive in Hagerstown, is participating in the Letters for Lyrics program, which is a partnership between the Ram truck brand and the Zac Brown Band.


The goal of the program nationally is to collect 1 million letters to send to U.S. troops deployed around the world.

Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization, will deliver the letters.

Each letter writer will receive the "Breaking Southern Ground" CD, which features three all-new songs from Zac Brown Band and music from Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan and Levi Lowrey. The compilation CD is not sold in stores and is exclusively available at Ram truck dealerships.

Hoffman Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge also is offering a $500 cash allowance to all qualified enlisted military personnel and veterans toward the purchase of new 2010 Ram, Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep vehicle.

CNB Financial Services Inc.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - CNB Financial Services Inc., parent company of CNB Bank Inc., recently announced its financial results as of June 30.

CNB had consolidated net income of $423,000, or 96 cents per share, as compared to $513,000, or $1.15 per share, for the three months ending June 30, 2009.

CNB had consolidated net income of $850,000, or $1.92 per share, compared to $1.1 million, or $2.56 per share, for the six months ending June 30, 2009.

CNB's capital totaled $26.7 million, or 9.4 percent, of total assets as of June 30.

Centric Business Systems

BALTIMORE - Centric Business Systems Inc. recently purchased the copier division of Office Suppliers Inc. in Hagerstown.

The acquisition will enable Centric to expand its services within the Hagerstown and Frederick, Md., markets.

The acquisition will push Centric above the $22 million mark in annual revenue. The company has more than 115 employees.

Centric Business Systems Inc. offers a full line of digital copiers, printers, fax machines and scanners.

Frederick County Agri-Business Association

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick County Agri-Business Association will hold its 17th annual golf tournament and youth scholarship program on Thursday, July 29, at the Musket Ridge Golf Club in Myersville, Md.

The tournament is a four-person scramble format. There is a limit of 32 teams and teams will be entered on a first-come, first-served basis.

All proceeds will benefit the association's college scholarship fund. Scholarships will be given to Frederick County students who plan to continue their education in college and focus in the field of agriculture.

Pennsylvania CASA

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The second annual Pennsylvania Court Appointed Special Advocate (PA-CASA) charity golf tournament will be Monday, Aug. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club.

The tournament is a four-person scramble format. The event benefits PA-CASA and the 20 local not-for-profit programs in the commonwealth.

Individual registration is $125 and foursomes are $450. Registration includes dinner, golf fees, carts, unlimited use of the driving range and putting green, and win-a-car-hole-in-one and closest-to-the-pin contests.

Sponsorships are available for individuals and corporations.
