KEEDYSVILLE - William (Bill) F. Wilson of Keedysville, Md., died July 14, 2010, at his home.

Born Aug. 14, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Edward Marshall and Grace Rebecca Wilson.

He moved to Newtown Square, Pa., at age 14, where he met his wife, Nancy.

He graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 1950.

He spent four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After the Navy, he attended Drexel University while working as an engineer. He later worked for many years in the insurance business, where he earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation. Upon his retirement, he built a business doing what he always loved - working with his hands. He was well-known in the area for his custom home and cabinet business.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy; daughters, Rebecca (William) Pollak of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Susan (Ronald) Morrison of Ormond Beach, Fla.; son, Stephen (Milisau) Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio; niece/goddaughter, Laura Wilson (Mark Menting) of New York, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Memorial services will be Saturday, July 24, at 2 p.m. at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church, Washington Street, Shepherdstown, W.Va., with the Rev. Dr. Randall Tremba officiating.

In lieu of flowers, if able, please donate blood or volunteer time at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
