The Boonsboro High School class of 1948 celebrated its 62nd reunion June 9 at the Boonsboro American Legion.
Fifteen class members, along with spouses and friends, enjoyed a buffet meal and fellowship.
Lucille Murray, reunion chairwoman, gave an update on the class members who could not attend.
A memorial service was conducted for the 27 deceased class members. The names were read by Peggy Beeler and prayers were given by Gerald Holmes.
Following the ceremony, Holmes gave an update on the Boonsboro High School Class of 1948 Memorial Award. The award was established in 1990 in memory of the deceased class members. The award is presented to an outstanding senior at Boonsboro High School. This year the award was presented to Megan Roberts.
The reunion concluded with the awarding of door prizes. Maxine Palmer, a class member, donated the prizes to all class members.
Geraldine Crilly was recognized for making the favors for each place-setting.
