Two sought in theft of cash from vending machine

HAGERSTOWN --Police are looking for two people suspected in the theft of cash from a soft drink vending machine at the Liberty Gas Station at Jefferson Boulevard and Robinwood Drive, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The theft occurred about 12:30 a.m. June 24, according to Deputy C. Peiffer.

One of the suspects is described as a white male in his 20s or younger, Peiffer said. He was further described as being tall, thin, and wearing light-colored cargo shorts and a light-colored muscle shirt, Peiffer said.

The other suspect is described as a white female in her 20s or younger, having a medium build and medium height. She was wearing a dark-colored sweat shirt and light-colored shorts.

A vehicle used was possibly a Ford Ranger with a cab or a Ford Explorer, police said.
