HAGERSTOWN --The Washington County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in finding two suspects in the theft of a $1,200, 40-inch television from Sears at Valley Mall on June 23.
In the shoplifting that occurred about 2 p.m., a female distracted a cashier in the electronics department while a male took the television out of the store and placed it in a truck, according to Deputy C. Peiffer.
The truck was possibly an older-model brown Chevrolet with a partial tag number showing 39X, Peiffer said.
The female suspect was described as white with brown hair in a ponytail and being about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds, Peiffer said.
She had distinct tattoos, including a left arm tribal band tattoo with "SAM" or something similar written in cursive above the tribal band, Peiffer said.
