The Northern Middle School Butterfly Garden Club planted a butterfly garden on school grounds June 3 and 4, and reaped the benefit of a monarch butterfly sighting.

Teacher Marjorie Coble organized the club to help beautify the school grounds and received assistance from fellow teacher Donna Almany and the student government association, custodian Larry Hose and the facilities department of Washington County Public Schools. Taylors Inc. of Williamsport donated a bench to be placed in the garden.
