Tower Bank



Candace Bageant recently joined the staff of Tower Bank as sales manager at the bank's Maugans Avenue branch.

Bageant is responsible for the effective execution of branch activities including superior customer service, consultative sales activities and operational activities. In addition, she is responsible for strengthening existing customer relationships and building new customer relationships. She oversees the Maugans Avenue branch staff members and will lead the Maugans Avenue team in meeting sales goals and objectives.

Bageant joins Tower Bank with more than nine years of experience in the financial services industry. She most recently served as the branch operational supervisor for PNC Bank. Before that, she was a community banking assistant manager with Sovereign Bank.

Bageant is a graduate of Cedarville (Ohio) College and has completed a number of banking courses.

Cumberland Valley Women's Group



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Melinda Dicken, PA-C, has joined the practice of Cumberland Valley Women's Group at Summit Health Center.

Dicken earned her physician assistant's degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and received her bachelor's degree in biology from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa.

City Hospital



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lisa Van Camp, RN, was named City Hospital's Quality Service Award winner for May.

Van Camp, a nurse in the PACU/One Day Surgery unit, was nominated for her innovative ideas and her ability to put those ideas into action, according to a West Virginia University Hospitals-East (WVUH-East) press release.

Van Camp worked on ideas to promote productivity and cost-effectiveness within her department, according to the release.

Housing Authority of Washington County



Tina McCall, Section 8 coordinator for the Housing Authority of Washington County, was elected to the board of directors of the Maryland Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies (MAHRA) during its spring conference in Ocean City, Md.

McCall has been in the housing industry since 1995. As Section 8 coordinator since 2005, she oversees the department that is responsible for Section 8 rental assistance, including new move-ins, approving landlord payments, inspections, group interviews and keeping up with the constant changes in HUD-funded rental assistance programs.

MAHRA is a professional membership organization comprised of several housing and community development agencies and officials in Maryland that administer affordable housing programs at the local level.

Homewood at Williamsport



WILLIAMSPORT - Julie Cunningham, RN, recently was named director of nursing for the health care center at Homewood at Williamsport.

Cunningham has been employed in the nursing field for 24 years and has been employed by Homewood at Williamsport for 20 years. She has worked in almost every clinical position in the nursing department, including GNA, LPN charge nurse, RN supervisor, RN unit manager, quality assurance coordinator, RN assessment coordinator and acting director of nursing.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Melissa McCullum, a certified massage therapist, recently joined the staff of Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle Care P.C.

McCullum has more than six years of experience in massage therapy. She is a licensed massage therapist and a member of Associated Bodywork Massage Professionals.

McCullum specializes in various massage therapy techniques, including deep tissue, sports, trigger point, prenatal and craniosacral. She also specializes in relaxation massages to aid in the treatment of headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ, sports injuries, prenatal conditioning, fibromyalgia, upper and lower extremity pain, chronic fatigue and other conditions.

- Dr. Stephen D. Bui of Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle Care P.C. recently attended the American Podiatric Medical Association convention in Atlantic City, N.J.

Lectures at the convention covered topics including complex limb surgery, wound healing and management, diabetes, podopediatrics, dermatology, sports medicine and advanced imaging.

Bui is an associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery and a member of the Pennsylvania Podiatric Association, American Diabetic Association and American Podiatric Medical Association.

Barvinchack Associates



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dr. Evon Barvinchack of Barvinchack Associates recently served as chiropractic examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

The test was at Western States College of Chiropractic in Portland, Ore. The primary duty of the chiropractic examiner is to fairly and objectively evaluate the chiropractic clinical skills of candidates seeking licensure in one or more states. Each examiner generally evaluates between 75 and 100 candidates per exam administration.

Barvinchack has practiced chiropractic medicine for 44 years.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Scott Palmer of the Greencastle office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA was recognized as the office's Agent of the Month for May.

Palmer was recognized in the three years and over in the business category.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales; attendance at Realtor functions; and continuing education classes completed.
