In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Francis Horner, and her son, Howard Francis Horner.

She was a homemaker, an inspector at the Interwoven Mills and helped manage the family business, Horner's Turkey Farm. Mildred was a remarkable person who lived independently and managed her finances right up until the illness that took her life.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Instead of flowers, it was Mildred's wish that memorial contributions be made to Pilgrim Presbyterian Church.
