HARRISBURG, Pa. - Willie Weakfall, 64, of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Lebanon Veterans Medical Center of lung cancer.

Born April 1, 1946, in Clarkton, N.C., he was a son of the late Alex A. Weakfall. He was the widower of Alma Jean Weakfall, to whom he had been married for more than 25 years.

A survivor of the Vietnam War, Mr. Weakfall had an impressive military career, having served with the U.S. Army for more than 20 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with activities such as fishing, and was a member of the F&AM.


Surviving are a daughter, Yolanda Weakfall-Ambush; two sons, Willie Weakfall Jr. and Joseph W. Weakfall; two granddaughters; and four grandsons. He also is survived by his mother, Gladys Weakfall, and three sisters.

In addition to his father and his wife, Willie was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Weakfall Jr.

A graveside service will be Friday, June 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
