Charles Morgan "Bud" Magaha, 80, of 370 Winding Oak Drive, Hagerstown Md., passed away, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Wednesday, April 2, 1930, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late John D. Magaha and the late Alvrina S. Stouffer Magaha McClelland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Virginia Magaha in 2005.

He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was employed with Terminix for 35 years, then was employed with the Program Resource Building Maintenance Cancer Research at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md., retiring in 1994.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waynesboro Elks Lodge, Travel Club of Waynesboro and Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Teresa A. Magaha of Hagerstown, Md.; grandson, Shawn A. Magaha of Clear Spring, Md.; granddaughter, Sharie S. Magaha Buffington of Hagerstown, Md.; aunt, Victoria Newcomer of Chambersburg, Pa.; four great-grandchildren, Allyson Buffington and Olivia Buffington both of Hagerstown, Md., Morgan Magaha and Gracie Beth Magaha, both of Clear Spring, Md.; cousins, John "David" Magaha of Chicago, Ill., and Charles D. Long of Hagerstown, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Allen D. Magaha, in 2008.

Services will be Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. Darrell L. Layman officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 10.

Interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery, Boonsboro, Md.
