Washington County museum announces raffle winners

  • Susanne Kass of Hagerstown won an original watercolor titled "Boothbay Harbor' by Dennis Clarke of Martinsburg, W.Va. The painting was the third-place prize in the raffle drawing benefiting the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Slick of Smithsburg won a $5,000 jewelry shopping spree at R. Bruce Carson Jewelers, Hagerstown, as the grand prize in the raffle drawing at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

A "getaway" package was offered as the second prize in the raffle and included a one-night stay at Homewood Suites, transportation to and from home and to and from dinner for two at Nick's Airport Inn. The winner was Bob Nemes of Clear Spring.

The third prize was an original watercolor titled "Boothbay Harbor" by Dennis Clarke of Martinsburg, W.Va. The winner was Susanne Kass of Hagerstown.

Also this year, the museum chose to reward its top raffle ticket seller. The winner, Mary Helen Strauch, won an art class of her choice.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the museum.
