July 08, 2010

Authorities were looking for several people who assaulted a man during an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon at Edgewood Hill Apartments in Hagerstown, Police Sgt. Chad Woodring said.

Woodring said Thursday morning that authorities hadn't caught the assailants.

"Nothing's changed from last night," he said.

The assailants in the robbery included three males and one female, a 911 dispatcher said Wednesday.

Guns were used in the robbery, which was reported shortly after 3 p.m., and the victim was taken to the hospital as a result of the assault, the dispatcher said.

Woodring said the victim wasn't injured seriously.

The assailants left in a vehicle, and police were searching for them Wednesday night, the dispatcher said.

The robbery occurred in a hallway in one of the apartment buildings, the dispatcher said.

Edgewood Hill Apartments is off Dual Highway.
