The Rotary Club of Long Meadows ended its 2009-10 fiscal year June 30 with the passing of the gavel from club President Sharon Ruppenthal to Magnus Dahlgren, incoming president for the 2010-11 Rotary year.

Long Meadows celebrated a successful year of achieving its goal of one new member, receiving a matching grant of $12,100 from District 7350, which resulted in a total donation of $24,200 to Brook Lane Health Services to be used as seed money for the first autism clinic in Washington County. The club also launched a new fundraiser on June 20 at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center - a wine, cheese and chocolate tasting event with a silent auction.
