BUNKER HILL W.Va. --Hillbilly Daylilies at 1105 Giles Mill Road in Bunker Hill, will present its second "Bloomin' Bash" Saturday to benefit the Berkeley County Humane Society. Gates open at 9 a.m. and the event lasts until 6 p.m.
Admission costs $5; those younger than 5 will be admitted free.
Hillbilly Daylilies specializes in field-grown day lilies and every July, customers are invited to visit and experience more than 350 varieties of day lilies in peak bloom. Customers are able to purchase the day lilies of their choice, which are dug and prepared on the spot.
In addition to the flower showcase, visitors can participate in several educational workshops, according to a news release from Lisa Giles, owner and event coordinator at Hillbilly Daylilies. Workshops for adults include Introduction to the Modern Day Iris, Basic Propagation 101, Aromatherapy and Essential Oils, Deterring Deer, Tea in the Garden and Rain Barrels.
