Motorcycle ride July 18 to benefit animal shelter

Motorcycle riders from Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia are signing up to ride in the seventh annual Bone to Be Wild, the Dave Alderson Memorial Motorcycle Ride to benefit the Humane Society of Washington County that will be held Sunday, July 18.

The event begins with registration at Harley-Davidson & Buell of Williamsport at 10 a.m. and the ride starts at 11.

The ride will go through Western Maryland and Pennsylvania and end at Camp Harding Park in Big Pool. A picnic lunch will be served and music will be provided by The Spotlight's on You DJ service. There will be raffle prizes and an award for the top two pledge earners.

Riders can register online at http://www.hswcmd.org. Registration is $25 per rider and $30 the day of the event. A custom-designed ride pin will be awarded to the first 100 registered riders.

Riders can also register by visiting the shelter at 13011 Maugansville Road in Hagerstown, or by calling the shelter at 301-733- 2060 and asking for Katherine at ext. 237 or Julie at ext. 239.
