Derwood Bellmont "Dodge" Bousum, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, June 25, 2010, at his home.
Born Thursday, May 20, 1926, in Hollidaysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Earl Bousum and the late Verna Bousum.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946. In 1951, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a master's degree in business law and business administration.
He was employed with Associates First Capitol Corp., retiring in 1998, after 33 years of service. He was also president of A1 Brick & Sand Co. He was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church for more than 30 years and was a member and president of the Wesleyan Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Suburban Kiwanis for 30 years, Fountain Head Country Club, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, The Assembly Club, 9 & 90 Club, B.P.O. Elks 378, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and The Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
