TEA Party hosts training

Hagerstown TEA party is hosting a forum with writer and activist Jim Simpson from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 14, at the Academy Theatre Banquet & Conference Center, 58 E. Washington St., Hagerstown. The theater faces the central city parking lot. The public is invited.

Arts-based day care planned

Hagerstown Children's Theater announces a new program - an arts-based day care for children ages 2 or 3 years old. The new program will begin in autumn.

An open house introducing the program will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Walker Performing Arts, 806 Frederick St., near Potterfield Park in Hagerstown. The public is invited.

The arts program will feature traditional, early-childhood preschool curriculum plus hands-on work with musical instruments, dance, movement, theater and other arts media.
