St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Ann Boyd will preach at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services Sunday on the topic "The Rule of Double Effect." The adult forum is at 9 a.m. Youth Sunday school resumes in the fall.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside and preach at the 8:15 a.m. chapel service and 10:30 a.m. alternate service with communion on "Paid In Full." Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Dr. Dennis Jackman will be leading the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on the topic "What's A Body to Do?"

First Christian Church, the Rev. Timothy Murtaugh will bring the message "Elijah and King Ahab" at the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services Sunday. Sunday school for all ages at 10:15 a.m.


Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, Laura Robeson will be the guest speaker this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday on the topic "Commence." Diana Socks is the worship leader. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Chambersburg, Pa., the Rev. Patrick Pierce will be preacher/celebrant at the 10 a.m. communion service Sunday at Hamilton Heights Ruritan Park on Edenville Road, Hamilton Heights, Pa., with the annual parish picnic following.

Valley Assembly of God, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the topic at the 10 a.m. service is "The Results of Really Seeking God." Bible study for all ages at 9 a.m. Evening worship at 6 p.m. on the topic "Restoration." Wednesday activities at 7 p.m.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp will bring the meditation "God's Still Changing Me!" at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Hispanic ministry begins at 6 p.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will speak at 10:40 a.m. Sunday on "Springs of Life -- There is None Like Him." Christian education for all ages at 9:30 a.m. No family fellowship in June. Wednesday gathering with Bible study, prayer and teen club at 7 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. will be geared toward children for Children's Sunday with Pastor Steve Burdette's sermon "God Bless our Children." A picnic will follow the service.

Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, 14615 Fairview Church Road, Clear Spring, Pastor Allen Reed will speak on "Sin, Repentance and Forgiveness" Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service. There will be a children's sermon. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, the Rev. Gerry Hanberry will speak at the 10 a.m. Sunday service on "Worship: The Work and Rhythm of the People." Sunday school will resume in the fall.

Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Doug Courter will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on "How Much Does God Expect Me to Give?" Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. A youth activity is at 6 p.m. Sunday. Wednesday youth programs are at 6:30 p.m.

Welty Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, Pastor Mike Manthos will lead the service Sunday at 10:45 a.m. There will be a special presentation in place of the sermon. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Beaver Creek Church Road, has a communion service at 8:45 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Dave Kaplan speaking on "What Kind of Leader?"

Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, Halfway, Donnie Lehman will speak on "The Hard Question" at the 10:45 a.m. communion service Sunday. Adult Bible study is at 9:30 a.m.

Tri-State Fellowship, Sunday, Pastor Tim Lester will lead the 9:30 a.m. classic and cafe services and guest speaker Adrian Black will lead the 11 a.m. bridge service Sunday with the Great Bible Question series, where the question Where Can I Flee From Your Presence? will be answered. Children's and student programs are offered. Youth groups meet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Church of Christ in the Great Valley, 7306 Wheeler Road, Boonsboro, Paul Toothman will speak Sunday at 10 a.m. on "You Say I'm Too Tired --God Says I Will Give You Rest."

Trinity Reformed UCC, 33 Potomac St., Boonsboro, the Rev. Don Stevenson will speak Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on the topic "The Alabaster Jar."

New Beginning Community Church, corner of Dual Highway and Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Mark Snyder will share a message at 11 a.m. Sunday on "Life is Too Precious to Waste." Music by Francis Showe and Natlie Shane. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Awana is at 6 p.m. Sunday. Snyder will continue a study in the book of Titus on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
