A nursing simulation conference titled "A Quest for Excellence" continues today at Hagerstown Community College. Approximately 100 people are expected to attend the two-day event, which started Tuesday.

This is the first time HCC has been involved in presenting a conference focused on educating statewide community college nursing faculty in the area of simulation, according to Deb McClain, nursing training grant director at HCC. It includes discussions on best practices in simulation, multi-disciplinary simulation events and how to make mannequins have life-like qualities.

Nursing faculty, nurse educators, nursing lab managers and technicians from around Maryland are attending the conference. They represent state community colleges, hospitals and universities.
