Smithsburg, Md. - Ethel F. Earley, 93, of East Water Street, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Md.

Born June 14, 1916, in Keedysville, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Amanda Stull.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Earley, Jan. 21, 1994.

She was employed for the Cavetown Canning Factory.

She was a member of Emmanuel Chapel of Smithsburg.

She enjoyed working with plants and flowers.

She is survived by son, John W. Earley of Smithsburg; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved; and nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by sisters, Gerti Reeder, Ruth Earley and Mary Elizabeth Mongan; and brothers, Henry Stull, William Stull and Benjamin Stull.

Services will be Wednesday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, with Pastor Jonathan D. Laye officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy, Pa.

Family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
