Mason-Dixon Barbershop Chorus



The Mason-Dixon Barbershop Chorus will perform Thursday at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park in Chambersburg, Pa. The concert is free. It will include a variety of popular, religious and patriotic music in four-part barbershop style.

Appearing with the chorus will be the local quartets Carrousel, Uncalled 4 and a lady's quartet from the Chambersburg chapter of the Sweet Adelines, Four of a Kind. Bring lawn chairs.

Antique car show



The Mason-Dixon Region Antique Automobile Club of America will hold its annual car show, including car corral and flea market Saturday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65).

The event will feature Model T driving lessons, and a food and bake sale. Awards will be given to the first 100 vehicles registered. Donation/registration is $8 per vehicle and $8 per car corral space at the gate.

Proceeds will support the Transportation Museum at the Ag Center. All cars are welcome. There will be no judging, but there will be lots of door prizes. To register your vehicle and for information, call 1-717-263-8371.

Habitat yard sale



Sell your goods and you keep all the proceeds during the Habitat for Humanity of Washington County yard sale Saturday June 26, from 7 a.m. to noon at Dimensions Dining and Catering parking lot, 132 Old National Pike, just outside Funkstown. The cost is $10 per parking space or $15 for two spaces; additional $10 for table rental.

Locust Point meeting



The Locust Point group will meet Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Congregation B'Nai Abraham, 53 E. Baltimore St. The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month. There is off-street parking to the right of the building. Signs will be posted to the entrance. All are welcome. Call 301-992-6943.

Grace Child Care benefit



Grace Child Care Center will host a benefit event Saturday, June 26, beginning at 8 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 837 Spruce St. in Hagerstown. The event will be rain (indoors) or shine (outdoors).

The yard sale items include toys for ages 2 to 7, children's books, children's cots and other supplies, wooden play furniture, office supplies, cabinets and furniture and playground equipment. There will also be a food stand. Cash only for items the day of the sale.

BaoBab Blast



"BaoBab Blast" - God's Great Get-Together will be Sunday, June 20, to Friday, June 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 E. Baltimore St. in Funkstown. There will be a family picnic on June 25.

Classes for ages 3 through grade six will be offered during this week of games, music, wacky skits, Bible stories and crafts. For more information or to register, call 301-791-1738.

Regal Cinemas benefit



Regal Cinemas Valley Mall Stadium 16 is hosting a "Karate Kid Fun Day" benefiting several nonprofits, including the Humane Society of Washington County, Boys and Girls Club and Regal Cinemas Stars of Hope Charity on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring your family out to enjoy "The Karate Kid" starring Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan, and participate in fun activities.

The Humane Society will be on-site with information and adoptable animals. The Boys and Girls Club will have an information table.

Activities include a karate demonstration by White Tiger Martial Arts, an inflatable bounce and dunk tank provided by Backyard Inflatables, balloon sculptures, face painting, games, prizes and a make-your-own bandanna table. Please bring your own light-colored bandanna, as supplies are limited.

Activities are "participation by donation." The Boys and Girls Club will be accepting cash donations and the Humane Society will accept pet-friendly donations. Suggested items include Kongs, Purina Cat Chow Complete Formula, Purina Kitten Chow, Yesterday's News Cat Litter, and dog and cat toys.
