CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- Charles Town Races & Slots is getting a Hollywood-style facelift.
The Jefferson County, W.Va., horse-racing track and casino plans to roll out a new name -- Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races -- and begin to introduce table games to guests starting July 2.
The rebranded Hollywood Casino will add table games to the approximately 5,000 slot machines and year-round thoroughbred racing already available at the property.
The rebranding brings extensive renovations to the gaming floor that will invoke 1930s art-deco Hollywood, according to a news release.
The latest audio-visual technology also will be featured, such as a giant serpentine video wall that projects first-run movie trailers and video shorts that greet players at the main entrance. Plasma screens and video trees will be added throughout the casino for guests to enjoy as they play.
