Maryland Grape Growers Association will hold Summer Field Day at Knob Hall Winery from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Knob Hall Winery, 14108 St. Paul Road, Clear Spring.
The agenda focuses on "Bugs, Borers and Berries - Managing the Compendium of Vineyard Pests." There will be a Knob Hall Winery overview, a vineyard conditions assessment and IPM, assessment of crop load, Maryland Experimental Wines R & D, the current status of grape root borer monitoring and management in Eastern vineyards, and fungicide update and new options for managing downy mildew.
Speakers include Dr. Chris Bergh, Dr. Anne DeMarsay and Dr. Joseph Fiola.
Registration fee is $50; $40 for memebers if received by Saturday, June 5. The cost at the door is $60; $50 for members.
