CLEAR SPRING - Charles Hillard Socks, 68, of 14043 Broadfording Road, Clear Spring, Md., died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 30, 1941, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Ernest Richard and Anna Elizabeth King Socks.
He was a self-employed painter.
He was a member of Calvary Grace Brethren Church.
His hobbies were fishing, and playing with his grandchildren and his best friend, his dog "Star".
He is survived by his fiance and loving companion of 24 years, Connie Baker; two daughters, Yvonne McCormick and Krista Socks, both of Hagerstown; three sons, Charles Socks, Kenneth Socks and Jason Socks, all of Hagerstown; three sisters, Betty Neff, Patsy Socks and Ebb Renner; three brothers, Ronnie Socks, Leo Socks and Ernest Socks; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one stepson, Christopher Baker.
There will be no services.
