Officials talked Tuesday about the upcoming Western Maryland Blues Fest at a news conference at Hagerstown City Hall.

The city issued the following traffic advisory:

The 15th Annual Western Maryland Blues Fest will be held in downtown Hagerstown on June 3, 4, and 5, 2010.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, North Potomac Street between Franklin Street and Washington Street will be closed to thru traffic to allow for set-up of the Saturday portion of the festival.

Vehicles will be allowed to turn left onto Potomac Street at Franklin Street in order to access the North Potomac Street Parking Deck, but they will not be allowed beyond the parking deck's entrance.

Vehicles approaching the festival area should expect to encounter barricades, cones, and festival information signs.

This section of North Potomac Street is expected to be reopened to thru traffic by 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, June 6.


Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this block of Potomac Street on Saturday, June 5th.
