Greetings, neighbors

It's graduation week, which means big doings in town other than the carnival.

Awards night

Boonsboro High School will hold its awards night in the gym tonight beginning at 7.

Students in all grades receiving recognition will be publicly honored.

On Thursday, also at 7 p.m., is the annual baccalaureate service in the auditorium.

The Rev. Robert Brennan will deliver the message, and the Trinity Lutheran Church Contemporary Choir, the high school orchestra and the faculty choir will provide music.

The class of 2010 will graduate at 9 a.m. Friday in the ARCC at HCC. Congratulations to all.

Tractor pull

Be sure to get out and experience some South County fun at the Ruritan Park in Rohrersville on Saturday. The tractor pull is coming to town, beginning at 5 p.m.

Class of 1975

The Boonsboro High School class of 1975 will hold its 35th reunion with a get-together at the home of Lisa Rihard on Friday, July 30, starting at 6 p.m.

There will be a picnic Saturday, July 31, at noon in Shafer Park pavillon No. 1. The class will provide meat, drinks and paper products. Please bring a dish to share.

There will be games, door prizes and lots of good company. RSVP to Rihard at 301-432-2666 or at"> as soon as possible. Anyone wishing to help with the event is welcome.

The class is looking for addresses and phone numbers for the following classmates: Jenny Barker, John Buffington, Garry Burker, Charles Cole, Eugene Elliott, Mary Ann Greenwalt, Robert Griffith, Johm Mandl, Robin Maxey (Nosti), Rodney Pitsnogle, Norman Potter, Laurel Roberts (Shoemaker), Ronald Saylor, James Seville, Larry Slaughter, Joe Umstot and Tammy Violet.

If you have any information to share, contact Rihard.

Support the rescue squad

Take the time and a few pennies this week to support the Boonsboro Rescue Squad by having a bite to eat or play a game or two at the carnival in Shafer Park.
