The Heritage Academy varsity baseball team visited Conococheague Elementary School recently to take part in Child Evangelism Fellowship's Good News Club.
The group meets at the school once a week to teach the students Bible stories and verses, and to play games and spend time with the students.
While the baseball team was there, Assistant Coach Bob Smith taught the students a story about salvation through Jesus Christ.
Then the players spent time showing the students the fundamentals of playing baseball. Some of the junior girls from Heritage baked cupcakes for the team to take along to give to the children after they played baseball.
Head Coach Mike Lowry said it was a good experience for the team and a nice break from practice.
