Pa. police probe death of man found outside tavern

FANNETTSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of a Burnt Cabins, Pa., man they believe was struck by a vehicle Monday morning outside the Hillside Tavern in Metal Township.

Police identified the man Tuesday afternoon as 32-year-old Dale Steven Henry. He was pronounced brain dead at 2 p.m. Monday at Altoona (Pa.) Regional Hospital, police said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday, police said.

Troopers were called to the area of the Hillside Tavern, 19359 Fannettsburg Road West, at 2:37 a.m. for a report of a seriously injured man, police said. Henry was unconscious, police said.

Henry was flown by helicopter to the hospital, police said.

Police said the investigation into Henry's death was ongoing and provided no further information Tuesday.
