HAGERSTOWN -- Jackie Adams, the 2009 Women's National Duckpin Association Bowler of the Year, added another championship to her resume Sunday by outscoring 10-time tour winner Andrea Lanahan in the final match of the Duckpin Olympics at Dual Lanes.

Adams beat top-seeded Lanahan 154-122 to top off a weekend that included Adams' induction into the WNDA Hall of Fame on Saturday evening.

Adams won $5,000 and a gold medal for her victory, while Lanahan took the silver and $2,500.

It took a qualifying round score of 1,083 or a pins-over-average of plus-71 to advance to Sunday's semifinals.

Last year's Hagerstown champion, Melissa Mahoney, barely missed qualifying with her score of 1079 and was the alternate.

More than half the field averaged better than 140 for their five game head-to-head semifinal round.

No. 4 seed Becky Sieck beat wild card entrant Jen DiStefano 140-108 in the first game of the ladder. No. 3 seed Kendra Boswell knocked off Sieck 151-130 before losing a close game to second-seeded Adams, 134-127.

Boswell won the bronze medal and $1,250, Sieck won $600 for fourth place and DiStefano took home $315 for finishing fifth.
