Frederick Keys salute Negro League players

FREDERICK, Md. -- The Frederick Keys held their second annual NAACP/Negro League Appreciation Night May 21.

The event, organized by Frederick County NAACP President Guy Djoken, entered its second year and is to be an annual event.

Complete with fireworks and the Black Athletes Living Legends Traveling Museum, the event also included the appearance of Negro League Player Eddie Banks.

Banks not only enjoyed a career as a Negro League baseball player, he alsoretired froma 25- year career as a Washington, D.C., police officer.
