Religion: Speakers and topics

St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Ann Boyd will preach at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services Sunday. The adult forum is at 9 a.m. Youth Sunday school resumes in the fall.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside and preach at the 8:15 a.m. chapel service and 10:30 a.m. alternate service with communion on One, Two,Three, Infinity. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will lead the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on the topic, Get Moving. The pastor and one of his puppet friends will share a children's sermon.

First Christian Church, the Rev. Timothy Murtaugh will give the message, Endure the Future, at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services this Youth Sunday. Sunday school for all ages at 11:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak on Fear at Work at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman's message Sunday at 10:30 a.m. will be The Call of Wisdom. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, the children will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday. The service will include a time of remembrance for those who have died. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Valley Assembly of God, 17544 York Road, Hagers-town, Sunday, the topic at the 10 a.m. service is Confession, Compassion, Cleansing. Bible study for all ages at 9 a.m. Evening worship at 6 p.m. on the topic, Essentials of Worship. Wednesday at 7 p.m., the topic is Moments of Decision.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp will bring the meditation, Three-fold Blessing, at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Hispanic ministry begins at 7:30 p.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will speak at 10:40 a.m. Sunday on Springs of Life - The Ultimate Sacrifice. Christian education for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Family fellowship at 6 p.m. Wednesday 606 gathering with Bible study, prayer, and teen club at 7 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature the topic, Are You in the Furnace? Camille Russo will lead the children's service.

Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, Halfway, the Rev. Tim Leighton will speak on Justified at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday. Adult Bible study is at 9:30 a.m.

Tri-State Fellowship, Pastor Randy Buchman will lead the 9:30 a.m. classic and cafe services and the 11 a.m. bridge service Sunday on the topic, The Place of Prayer, in the Successful Christian Life series. Children's and student programs are offered. Youth groups meet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Trinity Reformed UCC, 33 Potomac St., Boonsboro, the Rev. Don Stevenson will speak Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on the topic, The Dreams That Await Our Loyalties.

New Beginning Community Church, corner of Dual Highway and Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Mark Snyder will share a message at 11 a.m. Sunday on Never Forget. Music by NBCC Praise Choir. Medical personnel will be recognized. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Awana is at 6 p.m. Sunday. Snyder will continue a study in the book of James at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1973 Shiloh Church Road, Hagerstown, Pastor Wayne Frum will speak on the topic, Truth - Do You Know It When You Hear It?, Sunday at the 9:15 a.m. service. Sunday school at 10:45 a.m.
