BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Paul H. Twigg, 87, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, May 27, 2010.

Born Feb. 4, 1923, in Great Cacapon, W.Va., he was the son of the late Henry B. Twigg and the late Fannie Yost Twigg.

He was retired from Fairchild Aircraft.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, and served in World War II.

He attended First Christian Church of Boonsboro.

He was a member of the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics Council 117, a life member of the DAV and a former member of AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine L. Bailey Twigg of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; daughters, Celinda Key and husband, Walter, of Polk City, Fla., Fannie Stull of Sharpsburg, Md., Rosetta Palmer and husband, Denny, of Boonsboro, Md., and Betty Palmer and husband, Walter, of Boonsboro, Md.; son, Paul H. Twigg and wife, Sissy, of Auburndale, Fla.; sister, Bessie Aubuchon of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, James L. Twigg of Oldtown, Md.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William Dean Twigg; one sister; and four brothers.

Service will be Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Hunter Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The Rev. Dirk Hughes will officiate. The viewing will be Saturday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., with Junior Order funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Place of burial: Camp Hill Cemetery with graveside military rites by Tri-State Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25411.
