Residents hurt in home-invasion robbery

FREDERICK, Md. -- Authorities are investigating an armed home invasion that occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of S. Everly Drive in Frederick, Md., according to a press release from the Frederick Police Department.

The release said the robbers forced their way into the home, assaulted and threatened the residents at gunpoint and stole cash and personal items. The victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The robbers were described by police only as several black males.

The robbers fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed, police said.
