Block of North Potomac to be closed June 5 for Blues Fest

HAGERSTOWN --The 15th annual Western Maryland Blues Fest, to be held in downtown Hagerstown on June 3-5 and at City Park on June 6, will result in the closure of a block of North Potomac Street on Saturday, June 5.

The City of Hagerstown provided the following information about the closure in an e-mailed release.

o North Potomac Street between Franklin Street and Washington Street will be closed to through traffic at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, to allow for set-up of the Saturday portion of the festival.

o Vehicles will be allowed to turn left onto Potomac Street at Franklin Street in order to access the North Potomac Street Parking Deck, but they will not be allowed beyond the parking deck's entrance.

o Vehicles approaching the festival area should expect to encounter barricades, cones, and festival information signs.

o This section of North Potomac Street is expected to be reopened to through traffic by 12:01 a.m. Sunday, June 6.


o Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through that block of Potomac Street on June 5.
