St. John's Episcopal Church, new priest, the Rev. Ann Boyd, will preach at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services Sunday on We Are Church. She will also lead the 9 a.m. adult forum. Youth Sunday school resumes in the fall. A strawberry festival begins at 11:30 a.m.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside and preach at the 8:15 a.m. communion service and 10:30 a.m. baptism/communion service on Blessed Through Adoption. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Eric Norgard is preacher and presider this Pentecost Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. praise worship in fellowship hall and the 10:55 a.m. evangelical worship in the sanctuary. The parish choir and guest musicians will present a choral vesper service at 4 p.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will lead the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on the topic, Spirit Powered. The pastor and one of his puppet friends will share a children's sermon.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak on The Power of Unbelief at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. There is a 6 p.m. Sunday program with the Faith Gospel Singers.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman's message Sunday at 10:30 a.m. will be Poured Out. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black will lead the 10 a.m. bread and cup communion service Sunday on the theme, Just One WORD. Lois Bond is worship leader. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Chambersburg, Pa., Sunday the Rev. Harry Knisely will be preacher/celebrant at 8 and 10 a.m. communion services. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. Adult education is at 9 a.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the topic at the 10 a.m. service is Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Part 1. Bible study for all ages at 9 a.m. Part 2 of the sermon topic will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 7 p.m., the topic is Moments of Decision.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature the topic, Then Sings My Soul. Camille Russo will lead the children's service.

Tri-State Fellowship, Sunday, Pastor Randy Buchman will lead the 9:30 a.m. classic and cafe services and the 11 a.m. bridge service Sunday on the topic, The Grand Prize, in the God's Big Story series. Children's and student programs are offered. Youth groups meet from 6 to 8 p.m.
