HCC to offer advanced one-day riding clinic for motorcyclists

Hagerstown Community College's Continuing Education and Community Services Division will offer a one-day Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic for motorcyclists Saturday, June 19, and again Saturday, Sept. 4.

The clinic will teach participants a variety of skills including:

o How to reduce fear while turning

o How to position your body for optimum cornering

o How to lean your bike with more comfort

o How to control the throttle for smooth acceleration

o How to modulate the brakes for controlled deceleration

o How to transition easily through "S" turns

o How to adjust your suspension for a better ride

o How to increase ground clearance to eliminate dragging parts


The clinic will be held at HCC's truck driving range at the Volvo Powertrain complex near Maugansville. Riders are required to provide their own licensed/tagged motorcycle and proof of insurance. Participants are encouraged to register early as class size is limited.
