Church to hold gospel sing



Samples Manor Church of God on Harpers Ferry Road near Dargan will hold a Memorial Day gospel sing Sunday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. The sing will feature Cyndi and Tike Shriver from Scotland, Pa., and Kenny Johnson, the "One-Armed Guitarist" from Bunker Hill, W.Va.

Admission is free but a free-will offering will be taken to benefit the church cemetery.

Cemetery donation drive to begin



The donation drive for the maintenance of the Samples Manor Church of God Cemetery will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30 from 8 a.m. to dusk at the cemetery.

If unable to attend, send donations to Samples Manor Cemetery, P.O. Box 441, Sharpsburg, MD 21782.

Fire company to hold basket bingo



Potomac Valley Fire Co. in Dargan will hold a basket bingo Saturday at 1 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets cost $10 for 27 games. Specials are extra. For more information, call the fire company at 301-432-2130.

Tractor pull to be held at Ag Center



The Washington County Tractor Pullers Association will present Lucas Oil and East Coast Pullers National Truck and Tractor Pull Saturday, May 29, starting at 6 p.m. at Washington County Agricultural Education Center north of Sharpsburg. Rain date is Sunday, May 30, at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $15 per person. Those younger than 8 will be admitted free.

Boonsboro club to hold summer soccer camp



The Boonsboro Football Club will hold a summer soccer camp for ages U4 to U14 in July at Boonsboro Middle School. Boonsboro Historical Society events planned



Denny Warrenfeltz will be demonstrating open hearth cooking with late spring recipes from the Heirloom Garden at the Bowman House, 323 N. Main St., Boonsboro, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. House tours will also be offered.

The historic trolley station at the corner of North Main Street and Shafer Park Drive will be open from 2 to 5 p.m.

The Boonsborough Museum of History, 113 N. Main St., will be open from 1 to 5 p.m.
