CHINA GROVE, Pa. - John Donald "Pap" Miller Sr., 80, of China Grove, Pa., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.

He was born March 25, 1930, in Washington County, Md., to the late John Ellsworth Miller and Willa Victoria Sharon Miller Flurie.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Janette Harrington Miller and Helen Louise Dennis Miller.

He was employed by BF Goodrich in Charlotte, N.C., until his retirement. He was most recently employed with Sam's Club in Kannapolis, N.C.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He previously was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion, Williamsport, Md., and VFW, Waynesboro, Pa.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie A. Hafer and her husband Fred of Hanover, Pa., and Helena L. Niswander and her husband Eddie of Hagerstown, Md.; sons, John D. Miller Jr. of Hagerstown, Md., and Larry F. Miller and his wife Pam of Hagerstown, Md.; sister, Shirley M. Piper and her husband Jake of Falling Waters, W.Va.; brother, Bob S. Miller and his wife Betty of Williamsport, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by six sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Monday, May 24, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Maj. Robert D. Lyle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service Monday, from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Monday for the convenience of family and friends. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport, Md. Military honors will be provided by AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown, Md.
