Richard Leroy Souders, 76, of Woodlawn Drive, Hagerstown, Md., died unexpectedly at home Friday night, May 14, 2010.
Born Sept. 29, 1933, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Hubert L. Souders and Lillian M. Douglas Souders.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Richard retired as vice president of marketing for First National Bank (Nicodemus) in the downtown location. He also retired from Dynawatch National Headquarters as vice president of acquisitions in 1995.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Richard was an avid golfer for many years.
During his employment years, he was the past president of Downtown Kiwanis Club, Senior Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) and Mason and Dixon Kennel Club. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, International Management Council (IMC) and the Alumni Club of First National Bank, and on the Board of the SPCA.
