WILLIAMSPORT - Nora Sue Devore, 79, of Williamsport, Md., passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at her home.

Born April 20, 1931, in Mountainair, N.M., she was the daughter of the late Jack Jackson Jr. and Lilla V. Rogers Spruill.

She was a member of Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she was deaconess, Sabbath school secretary and served in various other capacities.

She retired from the Review and Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown, Md.

Nora is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack M. Devore; daughter, Margaret A. McClure and husband, Ralph, of Brush, Colo.; daughter, Pamela S. Tooley and husband, Vernon, of Downsville, Md.; daughter, Jacqueline C. Cross and husband, Gary, of Chesapeake, Va.; son, Michael W. Devore of Takoma Park, Md.; son, Gary L. Devore and wife, Candy, of Hagerstown; sister, Betty E. Roberts of Georgetown, S.C.; sister, Lavern G. Gaddy of St. Charles, Mo.; brother, Donald L. Spruill of Texas; seven granddaughters; one grandson; and three great-granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lilla V. Ruth Lovell, Ina Jean Spruill and Bobbie Lee Gardner; and one brother, Jack Spruill.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD 21795 with Pastor Franke Zollman officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Ministries at Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, 16421 Lappans Road, Williamsport, MD 21795.
