Two charged following fight at Greencastle Legion hall



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Police in Greencastle have charged two men in connection with a fight at the American Legion Post that occurred on March 24.

Jeffrey Richard Elsaesser, 47, of 223 S. Washington St., Apt. 1, was taken into custody Tuesday on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, possessing a prohibited offensive weapon, terroristic threats and simple assault, according to the Greencastle Police Department. Rodney Lee Jones, 41, of 20 Hykes Road, has been charged with simple assault, police said.

The two men were involved in a fight just before midnight at the post on South Cedar Lane, police said.

Clothing stolen from McConnellsburg home



McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Several bags of clothing were stolen recently from a man moving into a new residence, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County.

Thomas Boyington Herbert Jr., 22, had left the bags of clothing in a residence at 327 Cooper Lane, police said. The clothing was stolen between April 25 and May 5, police said.
