WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Wondering where to find the best local produce this summer? You might not have to look too far beyond your own backyard when the new Waynesboro Farmers Market is launched this spring.
The market will run Saturdays from June 5 to Sept. 25. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rotary Parking Lot in downtown Waynesboro.
Main Street Waynesboro Inc. (MSW) and the Waynesboro Fire Department are organizing the new market, which will provide a venue for farmers and other vendors to bring fresh, locally produced foods to area residents.
"We hope the farmers market will be a central location for shopping and socializing," said Melissa Russ, director of promotions and member services for MSW.
