THURMONT, Md. -- Brad Banzhoff had three hits for Clear Spring (15-3, 11-3), but the Blazers lost their regular-season finale at Catoctin (11-9, 7-7) in the MVAL Antietam.

Andy Michael had three hits and four RBIs, while Zack Morgan added two hits and winning pitcher Kenny Frederickson had eight strikeouts in a complete-game effort for Grace Academy (7-6).

Travis Barthalow had two hits and drove in three runs for Heritage Academy.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Brett Rosenberry had three hits, including a grand slam to highlight a seven-run second for Waynesboro in a win over Northern.

Rosenberry finished with five RBIs, which gives him 40 on the year, breaking the previous school record of 38. He also tied the single season home run record of 11 with his grand slam.

Jonathan Blubaugh had a home run for the Indians (13-6).

INWOOD, W.Va. -- T.J. Weisenburg had two hits and four RBIs for Martinsburg, which used a seven-run fifth inning to pull ahead for good and defeat Musselman in the first round of the W.Va. Region II Section 1 playoffs.

Zach Stolipher had three hits for the Bulldogs, while Zach Woolcock, Brandon Cordell and Dru Sutherland each added two hits and Josh Ashcraft drove in a pair of runs. Cordell earned the win in relief by pitching 3 1/3 innings of no-hit ball with seven strikeouts.

Malik Hunter, Ryan LaRose and Brandon Michael each homered for the Applemen.

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va -- Tanner Everton pitched a one-hitter through five innings and helped his own cause with two hits, including a three-run homer and had six RBIs as Jefferson shut out Washington in the first round of the West Virginia Region II Section 1 tournament.

Zach Lambert had an RBI and scored three runs and Dillon Regalia and Tyler Hamilton each had an RBI for the Cougars (23-9).

Nicki McQuade had three hits and two RBIs, Casie Pollock added three hits and Sam McQuade and Alexus Mellott each had two hits and two RBIs for the Spartans (2-13).

Caroline Rosenthal pitched all eight innings for Goretti and struck out 17. Emma Bartholomew had two hits and two RBIs and Emily Steiner added two hits for the Gaels (4-12).

Autumn Appleby pitched a complete-game three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts to improve her record to 8-1 for the Blue Devils (15-4, 10-1).
