Smithsburg High School will host a girls-boys lacrosse playoff doubleheader on Thursday afternoon based on the results of the MPSSAA tournament bracket draw on Monday.
The Leopards girls drew the No. 6 seed in the Maryland Class 2A-1A West bracket and will play host to No. 11 seed Catoctin in a first-round game Thursday at 5 p.m. The winner will play at Glenelg on Saturday.
The Smithsburg boys drew the No. 7 seed and will play No. 10 seed Long Reach at 6:30. The winner plays at No. 2 Brunswick on Saturday.
In the Maryland Class 3A-2A West brackets, the South Hagerstown boys were the only Washington County team to draw a home game. The Rebels, seeded seventh, will play host to Tuscarora at 6 p.m. Thursday. The winner travels to No. 2 seed Seneca Valley on Saturday.
