HAGERSTOWN -- North Hagerstown midfielder Jackie Keller wanted Senior Night to be perfect.

It was pretty close.

The North senior scored three goals to help the Hubs beat South Hagerstown 14-3 on Tuesday in a Washington County girls lacrosse game at Mike Callas Stadium.

"Our whole team played great," Keller said. "It was Senior Night and everybody was fired up. We needed this win. This game will be a big confidence booster for us. Our team is starting to peak right now at the end of the season."

Attacker Cali Durning added three goals, while midfielder Lyndsey Knapp had two goals for North (2-9). Mallory Crossland, Samantha Culp, Maddie Palkovitz, Kristen Mazzei, Ashley Seiler and Alissa Miller had one goal each for the Hubs.

"We played very well," North Hagerstown coach Katie Eck said. "We did a lot of things that we worked on in practice. We dominated on the draw control tonight and it paid off on the scoreboard."

Lauren Marriner, Merranda Reeder and Heather Callahan scored a goal each for South (0-10).

"The girls continued to never give up," South coach Bruce Buhrman said. "They played a decent game. North played very well. Our girls have continued to improve. There are still things that we need to work on."

Keller put the Hubs on course with two goals in the first four minutes of the game.

"I was just ready to play," Keller said. "I just really wanted this game badly."

Durning delivered two goals midway through the first half and Crossland scored 5:13 before the intermission to help the Hubs build a 5-0 lead.

Reeder put the Rebels on the scoreboard with a goal with 21 seconds left to cut North's lead to 5-1 at the half.

Durning scored with 19:54 remaining to extend the Hubs' lead.

After a lull of more than nine minutes, the Hubs closed the game with an 8-2 flurry.
