WILLIAMSPORT - Helen Elizabeth Grove, 84, of Cedar Ridge Road, Williamsport, Md., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 2, 2010, from the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Born Oct. 8, 1925, in Leitersburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Walter Robinson and Cora Mae Hurd Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, John Ernest Grove, in 2009.

She was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church of Clear Spring, Md., for 60 years.

She retired as a food-service manager from Beverly Enterprises after 25 years of service.

Helen was past president of the Wilson Ruritan Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Mercersburg Moose Lodge and a past manager of the concession stand for the Hagerstown Quarter Midget Association.

She was an avid 500-Card Club player.

She is survived by two sons, Royce "Butch" E. Robinson and wife, Ellie, of Clear Spring, and Randy W. Grove and wife, Nancy, of Williamsport; one daughter, Bette Mae Lee and husband, Gerald, of Hagerstown; two sisters, Irene Embly and Hazel Schwab, both of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, Lynda Murray, Royal Robinson, Julie Timmons, Nan Guthrie and Andy Lee; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Orvetta Miller, Betty Plank, Rhoda Hykes and JoAnn Gouff.

Services will be Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Reformed Church, National Pike, Clear Spring. Pastor Ron Shank will officiate. Burial will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. For convenience, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
