May 5 and June 2: Adult Book Share, Sharpsburg Library, 10 a.m.

May 5, 12, 19, 26 and June 2 and 9: Preschool story time for ages 3 and older, Boonsboro Library, 3:30 p.m.

May 5: Mother's Day Tea and activity, Boonsboro Library, 4 p.m. Moms and children ages 3 and older are invited to an afternoon tea that includes a mother-child activity. Register by calling 301-432-5723.


May 5 and June 2: First Hose Co. of Boonsboro monthly membership meeting, fire hall, 7 p.m.

May 6, 13, 20, 27 and June 3: Story time, Sharpsburg Library, 3:30 p.m. June 3 event includes kickoff for children's summer reading program.

May 6: May Day Celebration for Everyone, Sharpsburg Library, 3:30 p.m. Includes master gardener reading and craft project at 3:30 p.m., and plant swap from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

May 6 and June 3: Teen hour, Sharpsburg Library, 4:30 p.m. May event is making May Day baskets to deliver to Sharpsburg residents. Service hours can be earned.

May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4 and 11: Lap sit for ages 18 months and younger, Boonsboro Library, 11 a.m.

May 8: Craft Day, Keedysville Library, 9 a.m. to noon. Bring a project.

May 8: Boonsboro Green Fest, Shafer Park, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission.

May 8, 15, 22, 29 and June 5: Story time for all ages, Boonsboro Library, 11 a.m. The May 8 event will be a Mother's Day story time and craft.

May 29: Wreath-laying ceremony in front of Sharpsburg Town Hall, 11 a.m.

May 29: Sharpsburg Memorial Day parade, Main Street, 1:30 p.m.

May 30: Boonsboro's Memorial Day wreath laying and parade. The wreath laying is at 1 p.m. in front of Town Hall. The 2 p.m. parade is down Main Street.

June 2: Summer Reading Club pirate kickoff party, Boonsboro Library, 3:30 p.m. Pirate adventures, games, crafts and a hunt for hidden booty. Register by calling 301-432-5723.
