For most children, Easter egg hunts are a traditional event to look forward to on Easter weekend.

For four girls at Girls Inc. of Washington County, however, this year they were able to spend Easter Monday hunting for eggs on the White House lawn.

This was part of a field trip that took the girls to the White House Easter Egg Roll April 5.

The girls enjoyed a beautiful day on the President's lawn, participating in many activities.

They first wanted to hunt for eggs and then were able to dye their own eggs to take home.

They got butterflies and Easter bunnies painted on their faces with the Washington Monument in view right behind them.

The highlight for the girls and many other children were the concerts that were performed at the time they were on the lawn.

You could tell this by all the screaming that happened when Justin Bieber came on stage.

They were also able to hear the piano playing of Sara Bareilles.

The girls were not the only people enjoying the show, however.

First lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters were in the front row at the concerts and about 10 feet from where the girls were watching the show.

On the way out of the gate, the girls each received Peeps marshmallow treats and a wooden egg commemorating the day with President and Mrs. Obama's signature on it.

This was great way to cap off an Easter egg hunt that they will never forget.
