Suns win third straight

The Hagerstown Suns used a six-run seventh inning to win their third straight game, defeating the Augusta GreenJackets 7-2 at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday night.

A scoreless tie was broken in the fourth by the Suns (11-9) on Marcus Jones' RBI single.

Augusta (12-9) responded in the fifth to take a 2-1 lead.With two outs and the bases loaded, Suns starting pitcher Paul Demny walked Dan Cook to force in a run.Mitchell Clegg (2-0) came on in relief and Thomas Joseph hit an RBI single.

In the seventh, the Suns got their offense going. Soriano hit an RBI double off Mitch Lively (0-1), and Steven Souza's RBI single gave Hagerstown a 3-2 lead.a wild pitch scored Soriano, and Bloxom hit a two-run single. Two batters later, Ramirez hit an RBI double.

Clegg got the victory with 4 1/3 innings of two-hit pitching with five strikeouts.
